No Child Left Untableted

This article to me seems to relate to our class that we're in right now. Teachers look and say it's crazy to let students use technology in class. Well so far they've been proven wrong. People that are still attached to the traditional ways of teaching show no trust in students which is shown in the article because most of the teachers that we're rejecting the tablet idea where the ones that sounded like they'd rather stick a book in front of a kid and say read. Technology is a huge part of our generation and it seems to be the best way to get kids to respond to anything these days. I feel that the only way to effectively use the tablets is to introduce it to only those teachers who are excited to use them to there full potential and as newer, younger teachers are hired, bring them in slowly until it can be used school wide. The only problem with the tablets though to me is that staring at a screen all day can really have harmful effects which is why I don't like staring at screens for long periods of time.
