This text goes over who is really to blame in the problem of obesity in America. People in our country look to blame someone in this epidemic and these people are very quick to blame the food industry for their problems. The author of the passage believes that the food industry isn't all to blame. The article talks about how eating these easily accessible foods should be regulated by ourselves and is no one else's responsibility. Sure, the food industry markets heavily to the people and food is plentiful for everyone to get but these companies selling you the processed trash are not forcing you to eat it.
